If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Whitby. Head south on New Quay Road toward Pier Road. Turn left onto Pier Road, and continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto the A171. Follow the A171 for about 1 mile, and then turn left onto Station Square. You will find the North Yorkshire Moors Railway station on your right at Station Square, Whitby YO21 1YN. There is limited parking available nearby, so plan accordingly.

Public Transportation - Bus
To reach North Yorkshire Moors Railway station using public transportation, you can take a local bus. From the Whitby Bus Station, which is located on St. Hilda's Terrace, look for a bus that goes to the West Cliff area. You can take the bus number 93 or 99. Get off at the bus stop near the Royal Hotel on the West Cliff. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway station. Head down to the seafront, then follow the signs to Station Square, where the station is located. Bus fares are typically around £2-£3.

If you are already in the town center of Whitby, walking to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway station is a pleasant option. From the Whitby Abbey, head down the hill towards the town center. Walk along Church Street, which will lead you to the harbor. Cross the bridge, and continue straight onto New Quay Road. Turn left onto Pier Road, and follow the road until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the 2nd exit onto the A171, and then turn left onto Station Square. The station will be on your right. The walk takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on your pace.
