If you are starting from York Minster, head south on Deangate towards the intersection with Ousegate. Continue straight onto Duncombe Place, where you will see the Minster's impressive facade. Follow Duncombe Place until it turns into Lord Mayor’s Walk. The City Wall Walk entrance will be on your right, marked by signs indicating the start of the walk.

From the York Railway Station, exit the station and turn left onto Station Road. Walk straight until you reach the traffic lights and turn right onto Blossom Street. Continue straight until you reach the river, then take the path to your left along the riverbank. Follow the river until you see the entrance to the City Wall Walk on your left at Lord Mayor’s Walk.

If you are at the Shambles, walk south towards the intersection with Fetter Lane. Turn right onto Fetter Lane and continue until you reach the junction with Lord Mayor’s Walk. Turn left onto Lord Mayor's Walk and you will find the entrance to the City Wall Walk shortly ahead.
