If you are driving, head to the village of Whithorn. From Newton Stewart, take the A75 towards Whithorn. Upon reaching Whithorn, follow signs for the B7005. Continue on B7005, which will lead you directly to Physgill Lodge, where you can park your car. The cave is located a short walk from the lodge. There is no parking fee, but please be respectful of the local area.

For public transportation, take a bus from Newton Stewart to Whithorn. The bus service is operated by the local provider and runs several times a day. Once you arrive in Whithorn, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 miles to reach St Ninian's Cave. Follow the signs for the B7005. It’s advisable to check the local bus timetable in advance as services may vary, and there may be a small fare for the bus ride.

If you are already in Whithorn and prefer to walk, head west from the village center. Follow the signs for the coastal path, which will lead you towards St Ninian's Cave.
