    If you are starting at York Minster, head northeast on Deangate towards the intersection with Duncombe Place. Continue onto Stonegate, a vibrant street filled with shops and cafes. Follow Stonegate until you reach the junction with High Petergate. Turn left onto High Petergate and walk until you reach the end of the street. Turn right onto Goodramgate, then continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Monkgate.     From the York Railway Station, exit the station and head towards the city center by walking along Station Road. Once you reach the walls, take the path that leads you along the walls until you see the entrance to Monk Bar on your left.
