Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Settle in North Yorkshire. From Settle, follow the A65 towards Skipton. After about 4 miles, take a left onto the B6480 towards Malham. Continue on this road until you reach the village of Malham. Once in Malham, look for signs directing you to Malham Tarn. There is a car park at Malham Tarn, which may have a small fee (around £5) for parking. From the car park, follow the signposted path to Malham Tarn Walkway, which is approximately a 10-minute walk.

Public Transportation
If you're using public transport, take a train to Settle railway station. From Settle, you can catch the DalesBus service (Route 581) that runs to Malham, but check the timetable ahead of your visit as services may be infrequent. Once you arrive in Malham, follow the signs towards Malham Tarn. It’s about a 1.5-mile walk from the village to the Tarn, taking approximately 30-40 minutes along a well-defined path.

Walking
For the more adventurous, if you're already in the vicinity and prefer to walk, you can start your journey from Malham village. The walk to Malham Tarn is scenic and follows the Pennine Way for part of the route. It is advisable to wear sturdy walking boots as the terrain can be uneven. The walk is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 30-40 minutes, offering beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
