If you're driving, set your GPS to the coordinates of Malham Tarn: 54.0967° N, -2.1637° W. From Settle, take the A65 east towards Gargrave. After about 5 miles, take a left onto the B6383 towards Malham. Continue on this road until you reach the village of Malham. Park your car at the designated parking area in Malham village, where you will find signs directing you to Malham Tarn. The walk from the village to the tarn is approximately 1.5 miles along a well-marked footpath.

To reach Malham Tarn by public transport, take a train to Settle Station from Leeds or Bradford. Upon arrival, you can catch the DalesBus service (usually the 'B' bus line) that runs during the summer months. Get off at the 'Malham' stop. From there, follow the signs to Malham Tarn, which is about a 1.5-mile walk on a footpath. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited, especially outside peak season.
