History of Logan

Founding of Logan

Logan, Utah was founded on June 6, 1859, by a group of Mormon settlers led by William B. Preston. These settlers were sent by Brigham Young, the President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with the goal of establishing a new community in the Cache Valley.
