From the main access point in San Rafael Swell, take I-70 East. After approximately 20 miles, take exit 149 for US-191 South. Continue on US-191 for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with UT-24. Turn left onto UT-24 East and drive for about 15 miles. Look for the signs for Desolation Canyon and take a right onto the dirt road leading into the canyon area. Note that this road may require a high-clearance vehicle, so be prepared. The canyon is located at approximately 39.4163° N, 110.0063° W.
