Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Samarkand, head east on Amir Temur Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Bukhara Road (also known as Bukharskaya Ulitsa). Turn left onto Bukhara Road and walk for about 1 kilometer. You will see the Registan complex ahead. Continue walking towards the Registan until you reach the square. The viewing platform is located to the left of the main entrance, near the entrance to the Sher-Dor Madrasah.

    Take a local bus or marshrutka (minibus) from the main bus station in Samarkand. Look for buses heading towards the Registan area. You will need to get off at the stop named 'Registan'. From the bus stop, walk towards the Registan complex, which is clearly visible. The viewing platform is located to the left of the entrance to the Sher-Dor Madrasah.
