    Getting There

    Walking

    If you are currently at the Apostolic Palace, exit the building and head towards the main road, Via della Conciliazione. Walk straight along this road until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once across, continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Lungara. Turn left onto Via della Lungara and then take the first right onto Via del Gianicolo. Follow this road uphill until you reach the Gianicolo Hill. Enjoy the view and continue on the pathway until you reach the main road, SS1. From there, you will need to find public transport to reach Santa Severa Castle.

    Public Transport

    From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop, which should be on Via della Conciliazione. Take bus line 64 towards Stazione Termini. Get off at the Termini Station. From Termini, transfer to the FL5 train line towards Civitacastellana. Get off at the Santa Severa station. Once you arrive at Santa Severa, it's about a 15-minute walk to Santa Severa Castle. Exit the station and head towards the coastline, following signs for the castle.
