Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Apostolic Palace, head towards the main entrance and exit the building. Once outside, turn left and walk down the Via della Conciliazione for about 10 minutes until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the bridge (Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II) over the river and continue straight onto Via di Monte Mario. After a short walk, you will arrive at the entrance of Villa Medici located at Viale della Trinità dei Monti, 1.

    If you are at St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and walk towards the left side of the square. Go down Via della Conciliazione and continue straight for about 15 minutes. You will reach the Tiber River and need to cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo. After crossing, turn right and follow the riverbank until you hit Via di Monte Mario. Continue straight, and you will find Villa Medici at Viale della Trinità dei Monti, 1.

    From the Vatican Museums, exit the museum and head towards Viale Vaticano. Turn left on Viale Vaticano and walk straight until you reach Piazza del Risorgimento. Here, continue onto Via Cola di Rienzo and walk until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Cavour. After crossing, turn left and walk along the river until you reach Via di Monte Mario. Continue straight, and Villa Medici will be on your right at Viale della Trinità dei Monti, 1.

    If you are near the Spanish Steps, exit the area and head towards Piazza di Spagna. From there, take the steps leading up to Trinità dei Monti. At the top, you will see Villa Medici right in front of you at Viale della Trinità dei Monti, 1. It's a short walk from the steps to the entrance of the villa.
