From the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the museum and head towards the entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once outside, turn right and walk along Viale Vaticano. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via Crescenzio. Cross Via Crescenzio, and continue straight onto Via della Conciliazione. Walk for another 600 meters, and at the end of the street, you will see St. Peter's Basilica on your left. From here, continue straight for a few more minutes until you reach Piazza della Trinità dei Monti, which is located at the top of the Spanish Steps.

From the Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Viale Vaticano. Take bus number 81 or 982 towards 'Piazza Venezia.' Get off at the stop 'Piazza della Repubblica.' From there, walk towards Via Nazionale and follow it until you reach Piazza della Trinità dei Monti, which is located at the top of the Spanish Steps. The total journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
