From the Sistine Chapel, exit the chapel and head towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums. As you walk, follow the signs directing you towards the exit. Once you reach the exit, turn right and walk towards the entrance of the Vatican Museums. It should take you about 5 minutes to reach the entrance.

Once there, continue walking straight ahead until you see the large stairway leading down to the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. This route will also take you roughly 5 to 10 minutes.
