From the Vatican Museums, exit the museum through the main exit. Once you are outside, head towards the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, which is directly in front of you. You will see the large plaza in front of the basilica. Walk around the basilica to your right, following the curved path around the building. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to the Gardens of Vatican City, which is located at the end of Via Paolo VI.
