Walking
From the Vatican Library, exit the building and head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica, which is directly in front of you. Once you reach the basilica, walk towards the right side of the basilica and proceed to the nearby square known as Piazza San Pietro. As you walk through the square, look for the Vatican City walls. Continue walking along the walls until you reach the Saint John Tower, which is located at the northwest corner of the Vatican City walls.
Public Transport
After exiting the Vatican Library, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located near the entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. You can take Bus 64 or 81, which operates frequently. Ride the bus for about 5 minutes and alight at the 'Piazza Cavour' stop. From there, it is a 10-15 minute walk. Head towards the Tiber River and follow the riverbank until you see the Saint John Tower. You will need to walk along Via dei Ciceroni and cross the bridge to reach the tower.

For a more direct option, consider taking a taxi. Exit the Vatican Library and hail a taxi from the street outside. Inform the driver that you want to go to Saint John Tower.
