Once you are in front of the Basilica, turn left and walk along the Via della Conciliazione. This street will lead you to the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. After crossing, continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, which will lead you to the Piazza Venezia.
