From the Vatican Pinacoteca, head out towards the main entrance. Once outside, turn right and walk along the Via di Porta Angelica. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via di San Giovanni in Laterano. Turn left onto Via di San Giovanni in Laterano and walk until you see the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano. From there, keep walking straight for about 10 minutes until you reach Largo di Villa Peretti, where the National Roman Museum - Palazzo Massimo is located.

From Vatican Pinacoteca, walk to the nearest bus stop at San Pietro. Take bus number 64 towards Termini. Ride for about 15 minutes, and get off at the Termini station. From Termini, exit towards Via Marsala, and then walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will see Largo di Villa Peretti on your left; the National Roman Museum - Palazzo Massimo is located there.
