Walking
From Tay Ho District, head towards the nearest bus stop to take a bus to the center of Hanoi. You can take Bus No. 31 from Tran Quoc Pagoda stop. Make sure to get off at the Hoan Kiem Lake stop. This journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Hoan Kiem Lake, walk towards the southeast past the lake. Continue straight on Hang Khay Street until you reach Trang Thi Street. Turn right onto Trang Thi and walk until you hit the intersection with Tran Hung Dao Street. Hoa Lo Prison Relic is located at 1 Hoả Lò, right off Tran Hung Dao Street, approximately 10 minutes from the lake.

Cyclo
You can hire a cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi) from various locations in Tay Ho District. Make sure to agree on a price before starting your journey. The cyclo ride will take about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Ask the driver to take you to 1 Hoả Lò, Trần Hưng Đạo, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi. This is a scenic way to travel and will give you a chance to see the city at a leisurely pace.

Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bicycle from numerous rental shops in Tay Ho. Start your journey by heading southeast towards the city center. Follow the main roads and cycle toward Hoan Kiem Lake. Once you reach the lake, continue to ride towards the southeast following the same route as mentioned in the walking directions. After crossing Tran Thi Street, you will find Hoa Lo Prison Relic at 1 Hoả Lò, Trần Hưng Đạo, which is about 5 minutes from the lake. Remember to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
