Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Hue, start at the iconic Trang Tien Bridge. Walk across the bridge towards the north bank of the Perfume River. After crossing, continue straight along Tran Hung Dao Street until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Le Duan Street. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Nguyen Khuyen Street. Turn right onto Nguyen Khuyen and follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer. You will see the entrance to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc on your left.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Hue. Start at the Imperial City and head southwest on Le Loi Street. Continue straight until you reach Nguyen Hue Street, then turn left. Follow Nguyen Hue until you reach the intersection with Le Duan Street and turn right. Cycle along Le Duan for about 1.5 kilometers, then take a left onto Nguyen Khuyen Street. Continue for another kilometer, and you will see the entrance to the Mausoleum on your left.

    Find a cyclos (three-wheeled bicycle taxis) at any major tourist location in Hue, such as the Imperial City. Tell the driver you want to go to the Mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. They will take you through the main streets: passing by the Perfume River and heading towards the south side of the city. The trip should take around 20-30 minutes. The driver will drop you off right at the entrance of the mausoleum.
