If you are in the Clarendon neighborhood of Arlington, start at the Clarendon Metro Station. Exit the station and head northwest on Wilson Blvd towards N Highland St. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach N Uhle St. Turn left on N Uhle St and walk for another 0.3 miles. When you reach the intersection with Arlington Blvd, turn right and head northeast. Continue along Arlington Blvd for about 1 mile, then turn left onto N George Mason Dr. Walk for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with 24th St N. The Welcome to Fort Ethan Allen Historical Markers will be on your right.

From the Ballston Metro Station, take the Orange Line towards New Carrollton. Travel for two stops and get off at the Virginia Sq-GMU Metro Station. Exit the station and head south on N Monroe St for about 0.2 miles. Turn left onto Wilson Blvd and walk for about 0.4 miles. Turn right onto N George Mason Dr. Continue straight for about 0.7 miles, and then turn left onto 24th St N. Walk for a short distance, and you will see the Welcome to Fort Ethan Allen Historical Markers on your left.
