If you are at the Danville Town Center, walk to the bus stop on Hartz Ave. Catch the County Connection Bus No. 21 heading towards Martinez. Stay on the bus until you reach the Martinez Amtrak Station. From the station, transfer to Bus No. 5, which will take you directly to the stop at Alhambra Ave and Muir Rd. From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk to the site.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Danville. Start your journey by heading south on Hartz Ave and then turn right onto Diablo Rd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Alhambra Ave. Turn left onto Alhambra Ave and cycle until you reach the John Muir National Historic Site. The ride is approximately 5 miles and should take around 30 minutes, depending on your cycling speed.

If you are up for a walk, begin at the Danville Town Center and head south on Hartz Ave. Turn right onto Diablo Rd and continue straight for about 2.5 miles until you reach Alhambra Ave. Turn left on Alhambra Ave and walk for another mile.
