Walking
From the City of Fredericksburg, start at the Fredericksburg Visitor Center located at 706 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Head south on Caroline St toward William St. Continue straight onto Princess Anne St, then turn left onto Kenmore Ave. After about 0.5 miles, turn right onto the VA-3 E (Plank Rd). Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-1 S (Jefferson Davis Hwy). Cross over to the left side of the road. After about 0.3 miles, you will see Meade's Pyramid on your right at the intersection of VA-3 E and US-1 S. The monument is visible from the road.

Begin at the Fredericksburg Battlefield Visitor Center at 1013 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Head south on Lafayette Blvd towards the Rappahannock River.
