Walking
If you are starting from the center of Petersburg, head north towards the intersection of E Washington St and S Sycamore St. Walk towards the Petersburg Amtrak Station. From there, continue walking north on S Sycamore St for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with E Bank St. Turn left and follow E Bank St until you reach the North Bank Trail. Once on the trail, follow the path west towards Richmond. The President James Monroe Memorial will be located along the trail, just a short walk past the intersection with the Boulevard.

From the Petersburg Transit Center, take the #1 bus towards Richmond. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Broad St and the Boulevard in Richmond. From there, walk east towards the North Bank Trail. Follow the trail westwards, and you will find the President James Monroe Memorial along the path.
