If you are traveling by car, start by heading southeast on Main Street from the center of Piedmont. Continue for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 29. Turn left onto Route 29 South. After approximately 7 miles, take the exit onto Route 33 East toward Harrisonburg. Continue on Route 33 for about 4 miles, then take a right onto Constitution Highway (Route 20). After about 2 miles, James Madison's Montpelier will be on your left at 11350 Constitution Hwy, Montpelier Station, VA 22957. Parking is available on-site.

From Piedmont, take a local bus to Culpeper, which may require a transfer.
