    Getting There

    Walking

    From downtown Roanoke, start at the Roanoke City Market. Head east on Campbell Avenue SW until you reach 4th Street SW. Turn right onto 4th Street SW and continue until you reach the intersection with Jefferson Street SW. Turn left onto Jefferson Street SW and walk straight. After about 0.5 miles, you will come to the intersection with Jb Fishburn Parkway SE. At this point, turn right onto Jb Fishburn Parkway SE and continue for approximately 0.3 miles. The entrance to Mill Mountain Park will be on your left, leading you to the trail that takes you up to the Mill Mountain Star.

    Public Transit

    Start at the nearest bus stop to your location in downtown Roanoke. Take the Valley Metro bus number 22 towards Tanglewood Mall. Stay on the bus for around 20-25 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Mill Mountain Park, which is on Jb Fishburn Parkway SE. From the bus stop, walk along Jb Fishburn Parkway SE for about 5-10 minutes until you reach the park entrance. Follow the marked trails to the Mill Mountain Star.

    Biking

    If you have access to a bike, you can rent one from a local bike shop or use a bike-sharing service. Start at the Greenways Trail in downtown Roanoke. Follow the trail towards Mill Mountain Park. After approximately 1 mile, you will reach the entrance to the park. Once you enter, follow the bike paths that lead up to the Mill Mountain Star. The ride should take about 15-20 minutes depending on your speed.
