If you are starting from the Roanoke City Market, head southeast on Market St toward Salem Ave SE. Continue walking straight for about 0.2 miles until you reach the intersection with 2nd St SE. Turn right onto 2nd St SE and walk for about 0.1 miles. The Harrison Museum of African American Culture will be on your left at 1 Market Square SE #2.

From the Roanoke Civic Center, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Civic Center. Take the Valley Metro bus route that goes towards Downtown Roanoke. The bus will take you to the Market Square stop. Once you get off, walk towards Market Square and head to 1 Market Square SE #2, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
