Walking
If you are in downtown Roanoke, start at the Roanoke City Market. Head south on Market Street SE. Continue for a couple of blocks until you reach Jefferson Street. Turn left onto Jefferson Street and walk about 0.5 miles. The Virginian RY Roanoke Station will be on your right at 1402 S Jefferson St.
Public Transit
If you prefer to use public transportation, you can take the Valley Metro bus. Look for the Route 1 bus that travels south from the downtown area. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Jefferson St and 14th St. From there, it’s a short walk south along Jefferson Street for about 0.1 miles to reach the Virginian RY Roanoke Station at 1402 S Jefferson St.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services in downtown Roanoke. Head south on 1st Street SW and then take a left onto Jefferson Street. Continue riding south for approximately 1 mile until you arrive at the Virginian RY Roanoke Station, which will be on your right at 1402 S Jefferson St.
