    From downtown Bellingham, walk to the Bellingham Station located at 401 Harris Ave. Take the Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) bus route 232 towards Deming. The bus will take you directly towards Deming, WA. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time for bus departure times and frequency. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the Heather Meadows Visitor Center stop. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the Visitor Center.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in downtown Bellingham. Start at the intersection of Railroad Ave and Holly St, heading east on Holly St. Continue straight to merge onto the Mount Baker Highway (WA-542). Follow the highway for about 18 miles, enjoying the scenic views. The Heather Meadows Visitor Center will be on your right. Make sure to bring water and snacks for the ride!
