Car
From any location within Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, head towards State Route 542 (Mount Baker Highway). Follow SR 542 East for approximately 30 miles. You will pass through the towns of Glacier and Maple Falls. Continue until you reach the Mount Baker Recreation Area entrance. Once you enter, keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Austin Pass Picnic Area. Turn onto Forest Road 3065, and follow it for about 3 miles until you reach the picnic area parking lot. Note that a Northwest Forest Pass is required for parking, which costs $5 for a day pass or $30 for an annual pass.
