Getting There

• Public Transit

  Begin your journey at the Federal Way Transit Center, which is located at 2230 S 320th St, Federal Way, WA 98003. From there, take Sound Transit Bus Route 586 towards Tacoma. Make sure to check the schedule for the most current departure times. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the Tacoma Dome Station. Upon arrival, transfer to the Sound Transit Link Light Rail at the Tacoma Dome Station and board the train towards the University of Washington – Tacoma. The ride will take around 15 minutes. Once you arrive at the Theater District Station, exit and walk towards Dock Street. The Museum of Glass is located at 1801 Dock St, Tacoma, WA 98402, which is about a 10-minute walk from the station. Follow Dock Street to your left until you reach the museum entrance.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, start at the Federal Way Transit Center and head southwest on S 320th St towards Pacific Hwy S. Take a right onto Pacific Hwy S and continue until you reach the intersection with S 9th St. Turn left onto S 9th St and continue straight until you reach the Tacoma waterfront. Follow the waterfront road which will lead you to Dock St. The Museum of Glass will be on your right at 1801 Dock St, Tacoma, WA 98402. This route is roughly 20 miles and may take about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your cycling speed.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, start at the Federal Way Transit Center and walk towards S 320th St. From the Transit Center, head west on S 320th St, then turn left onto Pacific Hwy S. Continue walking on Pacific Hwy S for about 1.5 miles until you reach S 9th St. Turn right onto S 9th St and walk towards the waterfront. Once you reach Dock St, turn left and follow it until you arrive at the Museum of Glass at 1801 Dock St, Tacoma, WA 98402. This walk is approximately 5 miles and could take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
