From the center of Kirkland, walk to the Kirkland Transit Center located at 3rd St and Kirkland Ave. Take Metro Bus 255 towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for about 30-35 minutes. Get off at the stop 'University of Washington Station'. From the bus stop, walk northeast on NE Campus Pkwy for about 5 minutes to reach the University of Washington at 1410 NE Campus Pkwy, Seattle.

If you have a bicycle, start at the Kirkland waterfront and head southwest on the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with NE 85th St. Turn right and head west until you reach I-405. Use the bike lanes to continue towards the University of Washington. Follow the signs to the campus, which is about a 5-mile ride and should take around 30 minutes.

Walking
If you prefer to walk, head to the Kirkland waterfront and take the scenic route along Lake Washington Boulevard. Walk south along the waterfront, then follow the walking path to NE 60th St. Turn left on NE 60th St and continue until you reach 108th Ave NE. Turn right and follow 108th Ave NE to NE 45th St, where you will find the entrance to the University of Washington. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace.
