    From downtown Kirkland, walk to the nearest bus stop located on Kirkland Ave. Catch the Metro bus number 238 heading towards Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the bus stop at Aurora Ave N & N 50th St. Once you get off, head east on N 50th St for 0.5 miles until you reach Woodland Park Zoo.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kirkland. Start at the Kirkland waterfront and take the scenic route via the Burke-Gilman Trail heading west. Continue biking for about 8 miles, which will take approximately 40 minutes. The trail will lead you to the zoo entrance on N 50th St. Make sure to follow the trail signs to stay on course.

    If you prefer to walk, head to the Kirkland waterfront and follow the path along Lake Washington. Walk north for about 2.5 miles until you reach the intersection of Lake St S and Waverly Way. Then, follow Waverly Way to the northwest until it merges into 68th Ave NE. Continue straight until you reach NE 50th St, and then turn left. The Woodland Park Zoo will be on your right after a short walk.
