From the center of Redmond, head to the nearest bus stop on NE 85th St & 164th Ave NE. Take the Metro Bus Route 542 towards the 'Kirkland Transit Center'. Ride for approximately 15 minutes and get off at the 'Kirkland Transit Center'. Here, transfer to the Sound Transit Route 586 towards 'Bainbridge Island'. After about 35 minutes, disembark at the 'Winslow Way at Ericksen Ave NE' stop. Walk approximately 5 minutes east on Ericksen Ave NE to reach the Bainbridge History Museum at 215 Ericksen Ave NE.
Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local shop in Redmond. Start at Redmond Town Center and head northwest on NE 83rd St. Follow the path along the Sammamish River Trail until you reach the junction for the Burke-Gilman Trail. Continue on the Burke-Gilman Trail, which will lead you to the ferry terminal in Seattle. Take the ferry from Seattle to Bainbridge Island. After arriving, bike northeast on Winslow Way, then turn left on Ericksen Ave NE. The Bainbridge History Museum will be on your right.

From Redmond, take a bus or bike to the Seattle ferry terminal. Start by heading to the nearest bus stop on NE 85th St & 164th Ave NE and take the Metro Bus Route 542 to the 'Kirkland Transit Center', then transfer to Metro Bus Route 255 towards 'Seattle'. Upon reaching downtown Seattle, walk to the Seattle Waterfront and locate the Washington State Ferries terminal. Board the ferry to Bainbridge Island.
