If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto US-12 E from your current location in The Blue Mountains. Follow US-12 E for approximately 25 miles until you reach the junction with WA-410 N. Take the exit onto WA-410 N towards Yakima. Continue on WA-410 N for about 16 miles. Look for signs indicating Naches Peak Loop Trailhead as you approach the Mount Rainier National Park area. The trailhead is located on Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, Naches, WA 98937. There is no parking fee at the trailhead, but be aware that if you enter the National Park, there may be an entrance fee.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this area. The closest bus service is provided by Yakima Transit. You can take a bus from Yakima to Naches, but note that this service is infrequent. Once you reach Naches, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Naches Peak Loop Trailhead. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, and keep in mind that fares may apply for the bus service.
Combination of Car and Hiking
