Car
If you're driving within Mount Rainier National Park, start at the entrance of the park at the Nisqually Entrance. Follow the signs for the Longmire area. Continue on WA-706 E for about 10 miles until you reach the junction with Paradise Road. Turn left onto Paradise Road and follow it for approximately 17 miles. This road will take you directly to the Paradise area. Look for parking along the road, as it can fill up quickly during peak times.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Pierce Transit bus service from Tacoma to the Nisqually Entrance of Mount Rainier National Park. Once you arrive at the Nisqually Entrance, you will need to use a combination of park shuttles and your own walking. Check the park's shuttle schedule; there are seasonal shuttles that operate to the Paradise area. After getting off the shuttle, follow the signs to the Paradise visitor center and enjoy the scenic views.
Walking
If you're already in the Paradise area and want to explore on foot, there are numerous trails starting from the Paradise visitor center. Make sure to check local trail maps, as the most popular routes include the Skyline Trail which offers stunning views of Mount Rainier and the surrounding meadows.
