If you're traveling by car, start on I-82 E from wherever you are in The Columbia Basin. Follow I-82 E for about 30 miles until you reach the exit for US-395 N toward Pasco. Merge onto US-395 N and continue for approximately 25 miles. Take the exit toward Paterson, WA. After exiting, turn right onto WA-14 E. Follow WA-14 E for about 10 miles until you see signs for Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge entrance will be on your left. There is no entry fee for the refuge.

If you prefer using public transportation, take a Greyhound bus or a local transit service to Pasco, WA. Once you arrive in Pasco, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to take you to Umatilla National Wildlife Refuge.
