Walking
From the center of Martinsburg, head east on W Martin St towards N Queen St. Continue straight to merge onto US-11 N/N Queen St. Follow US-11 N for about 15 miles. Once you reach Frederick, MD, continue on US-15 N for about 4 miles. Take exit 13B for Route 26 W towards Mount Airy. After about 2 miles, turn left onto MD-355 S. Follow the signs to Frederick Municipal Forest, which should be on your right after about 1 mile.

Start at the Martinsburg Transit Center. Take the Greyhound or local bus service heading towards Frederick, MD. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Frederick Transit Center. From there, transfer to the local bus service that goes to the Frederick Municipal Forest. The bus stop is usually within walking distance of the forest entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule for exact times.

If you have access to a bike, start from the downtown Martinsburg area. Head north on N Queen St and follow this road for about 15 miles. Once in Frederick, continue on MD-355 S for about 1 mile, and you will find the entrance to Frederick Municipal Forest on your right. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow local traffic laws while biking.
