If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Morgantown. Head east on University Avenue toward Walnut Street. Continue straight onto US-119 N and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Take the exit for I-68 E toward Cumberland. Merge onto I-68 E and continue for about 8 miles. Take exit 7 for WV-7 toward Newburg. Keep left at the fork and follow signs for WV-7 W. After about 5 miles, turn left onto John Fox Rd. The Dents Run Covered Bridge will be on your left. Parking is available nearby.

To reach Dents Run Covered Bridge using public transportation, take the Mountain Line Transit bus from downtown Morgantown. Board the bus at the stop near the Morgantown Mall, and take Route 7 toward Cheat Lake. Get off at the stop nearest to the intersection of WV-7 and John Fox Rd. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along John Fox Rd to reach the bridge. Note that bus fares are around $1.00-$2.00, and ensure to check the schedule in advance as service may be limited.

For an adventurous option, consider biking to Dents Run Covered Bridge. Begin in downtown Morgantown and head north on the Caperton Trail. Follow the trail until you meet the rail-trail that leads toward Westover. Continue onto the back roads until you reach WV-7. Take a right onto WV-7, then a left onto John Fox Rd. The bridge is about 3 miles from this point. Ensure you have a bike lock and a helmet for safety. There are no fees for biking on the trail.
