Car
If you are traveling by car, start on the main road connecting to Mutanda. From the town of Kasama, head southwest on the T2 highway. Continue for approximately 80 km until you reach the junction for the M1 road. Turn left onto the M1 and continue for about 30 km until you see signs for Mutanda. Follow the signs for another 10 km, and you will arrive at the Mutanda Falls area. Ensure to have a reliable GPS or map as road signs can be minimal.
Public Transportation - Minibus
To reach Mutanda Falls via public transport, take a minibus from Kasama to Mutanda. Buses leave regularly from the bus station in Kasama. The fare is approximately 20 ZMW (Zambian Kwacha). Inform the driver that you are heading to Mutanda Falls, and they will drop you off at the nearest point. From there, you may need to walk about 2 km to reach the falls. It's advisable to ask locals for directions if you're unsure.
Walking
Once you arrive in Mutanda by either car or minibus, the last stretch to Mutanda Falls will require some walking. If you have been dropped off near the village, walk towards the falls, following local paths or trails. It's recommended to ask locals for the best route, as they can provide guidance and ensure you take the safest path. The walking distance from the village to the falls is about 2 km.
