This experience was fantastic from start to finish! Everything was well-organized, and the guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the tour even more engaging. I also appreciated how smooth the pickup/drop-off was. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area!

The guide - Tunahan "Tuna" was great. Informative about the locations, history and also happy to help out with other general local knowledge. He did a very good job considering the tour he had to deliver. The tour - Green Tour itinerary was terrible. We can admit it is made worse if you go on a Red Tour before because for some reason they take you to 2-3 of the same locations! We did Goreme panorama/Pidgeon Valley/Onyx factory for the 2nd time. 2 were not on the itinerary we signed up for. Nar Lake was disappointing, nothing of real interest came from here, maybe a little better in Summer when it has the colours from the algae. Ilhara valley, there must be different places that "hikes" are started/finished but if you find yourself in Belisirma, it is really disgusting. They had said the unlicensed restaurants were recently removed but the area looked like a slum and then the restaurant was quite poor as well at the end of the "hike" / 10min walk. Quick stop at Yaprakhisar for "panoramic" (difficult to call it this as you are inside the valley) photo of "Star Wars" (not used at all in films) location and Selime. Finally off to underground city (we nearly lost hope we had lost the whole day at this point). Derinkuyu was interesting to go to and learn a bit about the underground cities. Guide did tell us that Kaymakli was better.... and that someone else within the group had requested our route change to Derinkuyu.. hmmmm. This is our 2nd tour and the 2nd time the itinerary, which we checked/double checked clearly with the operators, was changed and not for the better. There are other places on the Green Tour when you see the itineraries that look interesting but you can't seem to get to them unless you get a private tour.

Our Tuna guide was friendly, cheerful, helpful and clear in explanations. She picked us up from the hotel lobby and accompanied us all day, showing us the underground city explaining all the secrets and peculiarities of both the structure and the various rooms.

Ihlara Valley is located 52 km away and can be reached in approximately 45 minutes after visiting the Underground City. Formed as a result of volcanic activities of Mount Hasan, the valley features a canyon 80 meters deep, shaped over millions of years by the erosive force of the Melendiz River. Although it is generally associated with long hikes, the panoramic section visited in this program involves a shorter walk — not the entire 3.5 km trail — making it more accessible for visitors.
