Zelve Open-Air Museum is one of the oldest and most impressive monastic settlements in Cappadocia. Spread across three valleys, it features a labyrinth of rock-cut churches, homes, tunnels, and a historic mosque. Once a vibrant village, Zelve was abandoned in the 1950s due to erosion, and now stands as a fascinating blend of history and nature. Its dramatic scenery and lesser crowds make it a perfect spot for exploration and photography.

We will spend approximately 1 hour in this museum, known as the Valley of the Monks, which is the highest in the region and also contains rock formations with 2-3 heads. You will listen with astonishment from your guide to the story of St. Simeon's life in his house built on the rocks.

There will be a 3-kilometer walk from the valley, which is descended by an average of 400 steps, to the middle part. Melendiz Stream flowing through the middle of the valley will make you feel very peaceful.
