What to expect
We make our way towards the Shrine of Remembrance through the diverse complex of beautiful parks and gardens that border the famous Royal Botanical Gardens in Melbourne.
The amazing Shrine of Remembrance is one of Australia's largest war memorials, situated within Melbourne's huge parks and gardens complex next to the Royal Botanical Gardens. The Shrine was built to honour the men and women of Victoria who served in World War I, but now functions as a memorial to all Australians who have served in any war. It is a site of annual observances for Anzac Day (25 April) and Remembrance Day (11 November). You will have the opportunity to take photos of this incredible strucutre and see the amazing Shrine in person.
Albert Park
You will be driven along the Formula 1 track that is used annually as part of the Melbourne Grand Prix. Additionally, we will stop at the starting lines which are located next to the pits. Here you can take photos and see the starting line as well as the position marking for the cars. Don't just watch the Melbourne Grand Prix on TV - be a part of it!
An icon of St Kilda, Luna Park is a historic amusement park which opened on 13 December 1912. St Kilda's Luna Park is the oldest continually operating wooden roller coaster in the world and the only one of its kind with a standing brakeman in control aboard its moving carriages. You will have the opportunity to take photos of the famous Luna Park face and see the iconic location in person.
Palais Theatre
The Palais Theatre (originally Palais Pictures) is a historic picture palace with a capacity of nearly 3,000 people. The Palais Theatre in St Kilda is the largest seated theatre in Australia. You will have the opportunity to take photos of the historic theatre and see the iconic location in person.
Dendy Street Beach is famous for its colourful and historic bathing huts. It is Melbourne's most photographed beach. You will get to explore the 500m long beach which is tied to two reefs, and have plenty of opportunity to take photos and enjoy the experience of being in a truly iconic location. Your knowledgable guide will inform you about the history of the area including a detailed discussion about the huts themselves.
7 Beaconsfield Parade
You will be chauferred back to your destination via the "scenic route" which is also known as the Bay Trail. You will experience magnificent bay views as well as see plenty of historic and heritage buildings along the way which are a reflection of the past characteristics of the regions we drive through.
The experience can be subject to change due to bad weather or unforseen circumstances. We always endeavour to give you the best possible experience.
