If you are near the city center, catch a tram on the route that heads towards St Kilda. Board the tram number 16, 64, or 67 at any tram stop along Swanston Street or Collins Street. The tram ride takes about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Domain Interchange' stop. From there, it's a short walk to the Royal Botanic Gardens; just head straight down the path towards the gardens, and you'll see the entrance.
