From the center of Guimarães, head towards the main square, Praça de Santiago. Once you reach the square, take the street that leads towards the west, Rua de São Pedro. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua de Dom Manuel II. Turn left onto Rua de Dom Manuel II and walk for about 15 minutes. The National Museum Soares dos Reis will be on your right at number 44.

From Guimarães train station, take the Metro (Line A) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Get off at the 'Trindade' station and transfer to Line D (Yellow Line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at 'São Bento' station. From there, exit the station and walk towards Rua de Dom Manuel II. The museum is located at number 44, which is around a 10-minute walk from the station.
