We’ll visit one of the most iconic spots in Saxon Switzerland National Park—the breathtaking Bastei Bridge. Built in the 19th century, when the region first became a popular destination for nature lovers and artists, the bridge connects towering sandstone rock formations high above the Elbe River. From the Bastei rocks and the bridge, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views over the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and the endless green forests that stretch across the landscape. It’s one of the most photogenic locations in the region and a perfect place to take in the natural beauty of Saxon Switzerland.
