One of the oldest buildings in Santa Marta, it was originally the Customs House. It later became the resting place for Simón Bolívar’s body after his death in 1830. Today, it’s a museum showcasing the rich heritage of the indigenous Tairona culture.
This picturesque promenade offers stunning views of the bay and is marked by a statue of Rodrigo de Bastidas, the founder of Santa Marta. Nearby, El Morro, a small hill, stands as a natural landmark guarding the entrance to the bay.
Marina Santa Marta
A modern harbor built in 2009, it’s a haven for luxury yachts and boats, offering a sophisticated blend of nautical services and beautiful ocean views. It's one of the most advanced marinas in the Caribbean.
'Los Cocos' Beach
This serene beach, known for its peaceful vibe and coconut trees, offers a more laid-back atmosphere compared to the bustling city. It’s perfect for a quiet escape, just a short distance from the city center.
A favorite spot for locals and tourists alike, this park is surrounded by historical buildings and vibrant restaurants. It's a social hub where people gather to enjoy Santa Marta's nightlife and local culture.
Parque San Miguel
A historic cemetery and park, San Miguel is a tranquil spot filled with old tombs and mausoleums, offering a glimpse into the city’s past. It’s an oasis of calm amidst the bustling city.
The oldest cathedral in Colombia, it dates back to 1766. It holds significant historical value, being the place where Simón Bolívar’s remains were temporarily kept, and also the resting place of Santa Marta's founder, Rodrigo de Bastidas.
