    Absolutely INCREDIBLE experience! My parents, brothers, and I (5 in total) were in Northern Portugal for a wedding, and found ourselves with a free day to explore. We booked this trip, guided in English by the owner, Miguel, and his son, Rui. While Rui was the primary English speaker (and a great one at that), Miguel was a tremendous communicator and the duo made our experience unforgettable. We spent the entire day together, traveling to the town they are from, to the church Miguel was married at, and throughout the mountain ranges. This was easily one of the coolest international experiences we’ve had, and WELL WORTH the money. It feels very typical and true to the region and country, not touristic at all. We had an amazing lunch together, complete with regional specialties and drinks. Wildlife, scenic panoramas, swimming in dreamy blue lagoons with cascades, eating and drinking traditional fare with the locals… we could not recommend this excursion more. The difference makers are Miguel and Rui - we felt like close friends by the end of the day, and we can’t thank them enough. Hope to meet again one day!! Jim, Lisa, Patrick, Kevin, and Jim

    Honestly the best experience we had in portugal. We went to amazing places and sights. The tour took longer then planned,because we were not in a hurry. Miguel en his son Rui are genuine amazing people, honest, funny and enthousiastic. They do these tours because they love to do it, not for the money. If you go to north portugal you absoluty wil not regret it! Keep on the good work Miguel and Rui Big hugg from Marco & Nienke

    Miguel was a lovely and caring guide! He showed us a lot of different things. The views from "Serra d'Arga" are breathtaking and the lagoons are out of this world!! Loved every bit of it. Thank you so much, Miguel!

    What to expect

    This tour takes you to Viana do Castelo, in the Alto Minho, known as the pearl of the Minho, a paradise and where you can see the best landscapes of Portugal, where river, sea and mountain, share with each other. We visited the Serra de Santa Luzia, where is one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the world, passing through the Serra d´Arga, one of the most emblematic areas of the Alto Minho, not only for the vastness of the wild landscapes at its top, but also for the uniqueness of its values natural. We will enjoy the pleasure of being able to bathe in natural lagoons and waterfalls, enjoy exceptional landscapes, picturesque villages with their cultural heritage, the existing fauna and flora, in addition to sampling the local cuisine. We will pick you up at your accommodation in our 4X4 vehicles, which in addition to the comfort offered, takes us to unique places. Places to visit: • Serra de Santa Luzia • Serra d´ Arga • Santa Luzia Monastery (Monte de Santa Luzia) • Natural lagoons and waterfalls, Rio de Ancora and the various Ribeiros da Serra d´Arga • Senhora do Minho viewpoint (Alto da Serra d´Arga) • São João d´Arga Monastery • 3 villages in Serra d´ Arga, typically rural, with traditional buildings.
