Wondering if the last one star review was on my tour as well - yes, unfortunately disappointing. Is Uluru itself amazing - yes - and beyond that! Was the tour amazing - not at all, not even close.
Our Tour Leader was new and she forgot or got things incorrect (discovered when we questioned her and the other guide at the back had to pipe in). She also had us almost jogging to "get to everything" - it was so rushed that there wasn't even a moment to stop and take a breath to enjoy and experience when the sun actually first touched the rock. When I would stop for a few seconds to take a photo, there was a run to catch up. Increasing the total length of the tour by maybe 45 minutes could have helped but, apparently the guides get "dinged" if they take too long. So, no sitting at the waterhole - or even stopping for more than 10 seconds (by that time I was actually counting) at the place where the Dali Llama said was the "holiest place at Uluru" and he spent two hours there. Our guide was so happy that we were all "so fast" and didn't seem concerned about us truly getting a feel for the place or indigenous culture - ugh.
A few other notes were that breakfast was cereal or yogurt and some fruit - fine by me but some were disappointed. Also, the walk itself is all flat and not difficult, no hills or difficult rocky trails or anything.

Going in the morning is a great idea as it starts to get really hot by late morning. The tour guys Jesse & Dennis were very informative & hospitable- they did a great job taking caring of us. Seeing Uluru was a trip of a lifetime, thank you!

Michelle was an excellent guide. Extremely knowledgeable. Tour was well paced. Enjoyed immensely. Make sure you take water and a walking snack. Uluru is an immense beast and takes your breath away. Lucky to have experienced while the landscape is so green.
