Astrid grew up in the small, picturesque town of Eksjö, Sweden, surrounded by forests and lakes. Her childhood was filled with outdoor adventures and a deep appreciation for nature. After completing her studies in Library Science at Uppsala University, she met Maximilian, a German software engineer, during a study abroad program. They fell in love and eventually, Astrid moved to Heidelberg, Germany, where she now works as a librarian at the prestigious Heidelberg University. While she loves her job and life in Germany, she misses the Swedish landscapes and traditions, which she tries to incorporate into her family's life.
