To reach Wakhan National Park via public transport, start from Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan Province [7]. Take a shared taxi or minibus to Ishkashim, which costs approximately 500 AFN (Afghan Afghani) and takes 4-5 hours [7]. From Ishkashim, hire a local taxi to the park for around 1,500 AFN, a 1-2 hour journey [7].

Driving
To drive to Wakhan National Park, start from Faizabad and head east on the A-76 road towards the Wakhan Corridor [7]. Continue for about 120 kilometers, passing through Jorm and Ishkashim [7]. Upon reaching Ishkashim, take the road north towards Ptūkh and follow signs to Wakhan National Park, approximately 50 kilometers from Ishkashim [7]. Note that road conditions can be challenging, and a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
